2005
National League Championship Series
THUNDER BAY, NJ
--
The 2005 National League
Championship Series' will match up the San Francisco Seals and one
of two West Wildcard teams, the Los Angeles Halos. The Seals
narrowly edged the Halos during the 2005 season, winning 12 of 23
games. San Francisco is led by Albert Pujols (.313-2-4),
coming off a great series in the NLDS will bat 3rd and play 1B.
A potential issue within the Seals clubhouse has surfaced around
Juan Pierre. Pierre (.444 in NLDS) has been left off the Seals
protected list, causing the CFer to question his vaklue in the
lineup. Watch this issue closely to see if it affects the team
on the field. Meanwhile, the Halos are coming off a decisive
win in the NLDS against the Chemung Crawdads. They will be tested this
round. Their season began miserably, falling under .500
early on, but the team didn't quit. Vlad Guerrero
(.319-51-152) and Adrian Beltre (.339-52-157) led the offensive
attack all season, but had only 1 RBI combined in the division
series. The Halos will need more from their dynamic duo in
order to get to the World Series. |
