-- This may be one of the more exciting Sub Division Series
match-ups as the Smackdown of Philadelphia host the Coyotes of
Carefree. During the regular season, the two teams split their
18 games. Carefree was led by CF Andruw Jones, a candidate for
Player of the Year while the Smackdown were led by 1B Derek Lee. |

Carefree limped into the playoffs with their 8-19
September showing. The Coyotes will use a 5 man rotation in the
playoffs....Starting with Penny and then Morris, Lidle, Suppan and Eaton.
The bullpen is the key with Nathan and Street ready from the 8th inning on to
close things out. Leading into the 8th in setup roles are Baez, Putz, Riske and
Dessens.There will be some starting
lineup changes at 2B, SS and 3B based on Starting pitchers using the bench of
Bruntlett, Cruz, Spivey and Clayton.
Carefree does not think it has the horses to go far, but in certain situations
could play very tough...a few clutch hits giving the very strong bullpen the
lead in to the seventh inning could create some frustrations for opponents.
