The 2014 All Star Game
Target Field, Minnesota - Once again, the TBBL had nearly 33% of owners not vote for the All Star Starters so the teams were picked by yours truly and the game was played by me, myself and I.  Target Field in Minnesota was the home to this years classic and the snow  in July would not be a problem as the temperature was a balmy 77 degrees at game time.  Adam Wainwright of Jersey got the nod for the American League and allowed a leadoff single to McCutcheon but got the next three batters to cone out of inning one unscaved.  The National League turned to Clayton Kershaw who also allowed a leadoff hit as well as another single but a DP ball got him out of early trouble as well.

Wainwright came back out for inning two and was greeted by Edwin Encarnacion's leadoff double followed up by a Lucroy single to give the senior circuit the first lead of the night at 1-0.  Kershaw followed up his first inning with another scoreless inning to end his night.  Cliff Lee entered the game in the home half of the 4th inning  and was touched up for 2 runs highlighted by MVP Paul Goldschmidt's "very deep" homer to left field. 

The Americans tacked on 2 more runs in the 5th inning after Marte was struck by a Justin Verlander 103 MPH fastball in the back.  Ian Desmond hit the next pitch into the LF seats to give the AL a 4-1 lead through 5 innings.  Verlander and Marte had to be separated at home plate after the HR and luckily cooler heads prevailed.

The AL put the game to bed in the 8th as Donaldson and Goldschmidt hat hits and another run scored on a Gonzalez ground out.  The American League went to Aroldis Chapman with two outs in the 9th to close it out with his 104 MPH heater. 

The National League now leads the ASG Series 6-5 since 2004.
