Game 2: Eury

Carroll lead off for Gotham with a single, stole
2nd, was doubled in by Morel Gotham 1-0
Bottom of the 4th: Trout K’d, Elly
doubled, Will Smith K’d, Chapman singled Elly in to tie the
game. Torkelson doubled in Chapman, Hoerner singled Tork in,
Beartooth up 3-1. Top of the 6th: Kepler

Suter facing his 3rd batter got Edman to fly out
ending the threat.
Nick Martinez and Erceg shut Gotham down for the
final 3 innings.
Beartooth leads 2 -0
heading back to Gotham.
Game 3: Ragans vs Ober
Bottom 2nd- A two-out double by Tommy Tanks (Edman) plates
Arenado and gives Gotham a 1-0 lead
Top 5th - Ober in control up
to this point, but starts the 5th by giving up a HR to
Wilmer Flores. Game tied at 1. Beartooth ties it at 1.
Cole Ragans was strong
throughout, but ran into a bit of a high pitch count and was
only able to go 6.
Bottom 8th - Romano starts
the inning. A Christopher Morel sac-fly, followed by a 2-run
HR from Arenado gives Gotham a 4-1 lead.
Top 9th - Pagan gets a 1-2-3
inning for the save and a 4-1 Gotham win.
Game 4: J.Gray vs Rea
NOTE: Despite throwing only 85
pitches in game 1, Gray started this game tired according to
DMB.
1st/2nd Innings: Gotham jumped
all over Gray scoring 8 in the first two innings.
That would really be it.
Gotham continued to score runs, Christopher Morel hit 3 HRs
and drove in 6, but this was really a double-edged sword.
The good: Colin Rea was not good, and despite the lead,
didn't get out of the 4th inning. Thus, the runs were needed
or Gotham was done.
The bad: After scoring 19
runs, it feels like a let down coming in the decisive game
5. I have Nick Martinez in a few other leagues and he has
been really, really good. Each time out performed his MLB
stats. Looking at him for Beartooth, he looks to have done
the same.
Game 5: Sonny Gray for Gotham and Nick
Martinez for Beartooth
Beartooth’s Nick Martinez committed 2
throwing errors in the top of the second to allow 3 runs to
score for Gotham. Gotham added an insurance run later.
Beartooth scratched together two runs in
separate innings but couldn’t make it back into the game.
Gotham wins and is on to the LCS.
